    The pattern of the handmade silk tie, Golden Stupa , was designed by Triqita from our photo of the Phra Sri Ratana Chedi in Bangkok, Thailand. ‘Stupa’ and ‘Chedi’ are different words for the same object. So ‘stupa’ in India is ‘chedi’ in Thailand. It took a few thousand years for the transformation of  the shape and function of chedis from prehistoric burial mounds into dome-shaped structure for veneration.
